CDL 8000 Data Logger
The CDL 8000 is a dedicated Data Logger designed for the sole purpose of collecting inspection data. Since it is not based on a PC the user does not have to worry about stability of the operating system or fatal program errors. It is 100% solid state meaning there are no moving parts which makes it extremely durable. The CDL 8000 can be used in a conventional mode with a VCR where it has an integrated VCR controller which Starts, Stops and Pauses the VCR automatically during the inspection. The CDL also controls the CVC 2000 Video Compressor, which stores the video files in a digital format (MPEG 1). Each time an observation is entered on the CDL 8000, the CVC 2000 automatically transmits to the CDL 8000 the elapsed time and this time code is appended to the observation. This time coding links the data to the video file when played back in the office allowing the user to access any observation without the need to search the video file by simply double clicking on the observation in the database.

- Digital remote footage display provided for installation in equipment room assisting operator in rewinding cable.
- Built in IR system controls operation of VCR. Feature automatically Starts, Pauses, Stops the VCR during inspection as required.
- VITC interface available as option to provide time code on video tape enabling User to locate defects on video tape without need to search video.
- Ability to print reports in field on an ink jet printer.
- Connects through serial interface to Cobra Comparator which displays standard images when bar code defects are entered providing User with standard defect with which to compare defect being viewed.
