CDL 8000 Data Logger

CDL 8000 in use

The CDL 8000 is a dedicated Data Logger designed for the sole purpose of collecting inspection data. Since it is not based on a PC the user does not have to worry about stability of the operating system or fatal program errors. It is 100% solid state meaning there are no moving parts which makes it extremely durable. The CDL 8000 can be used in a conventional mode with a VCR where it has an integrated VCR controller which Starts, Stops and Pauses the VCR automatically during the inspection. The CDL also controls the CVC 2000 Video Compressor, which stores the video files in a digital format (MPEG 1). Each time an observation is entered on the CDL 8000, the CVC 2000 automatically transmits to the CDL 8000 the elapsed time and this time code is appended to the observation. This time coding links the data to the video file when played back in the office allowing the user to access any observation without the need to search the video file by simply double clicking on the observation in the database.

Features

  • Designed specifically to collect data in the field requiring NO PC or Windows interface.
  • Ability to copy work orders precluding need to enter repetitive data.
  • Barcode data entry is quick and easy providing accurate, meaningful and standard data with automatic footage and data integration.
  • Video Compressor Interface links digital video to data automatically.
  • Installed in standard 19" rack mount. Operated using either 12 VDC or 110 VAC.
  • Collects comprehensive accurate data in the field which is then transferred to CIMS™ database for storage and report generation.
  • Installs on any video inspection unit single or multi conductor.
  • Software controls optional CVC 2000 digital compressor via RS 232 serial interface.
  • Inspection Work Orders entered using a keyboard. Operator simply copies previous work order information to the next Work Order eliminating need to re enter information by hand.
  • Inspection data collected using bar codes ensuring standard data collection.
  • Keyboard may be used to enter information if appropriate bar code not available.
  • Operates with a number of formats including WRc, GBA, Azteca and AMPS/Examiner.
  • Bar codes 100% configurable to meet Users needs.
